The Application Process

1. Start Online Submission

  • Download an application form plus Referee
  • Fill the it and Submit it at the main Campus-

2. Begin Application

Click Apply to MITDS below

3. Review Application

After completing the online application form, prospective applicants are to certify, print, and endorse their application forms.

4. Gather Necessary Documents

You must include two passport pictures and two (2) photocopies of relevant documents/certificates to the application pack.

5. Submission

Send or submit the completed application to the address below.

ADMISSION TO PROGRAMMES ARE COMPLETED AS FOLLOWS:

  1. Go to https://mou.edu.gh/admission/applyonline
  2. Log on to the Online Admissions System with the e-voucher Application Number and PIN;
  3. Complete the form in BLOCK LETTERS only;
  4. Follow steps on the Online Admissions system to complete your application;
  5. A printed copy of your completed online application form together with two (2) photocopies of each of your certificates or result slips and two (2) passport size photographs with red background must be enclosed in your envelope before posting to,  THE REGISTRAR

  6. An Envelope Number generated for you on completion of the online application must be written at the back of the envelope before posting;
  7. Mature applicants must write “MATURE” at the top right corner of the front page of the form;
  8. Attach a copy of your birth certificate.

The Requirements for Admission into Doctoral/ Phd Programmes:

  1. SSSCE/WASSCE/GBCE Candidates:Six credit passes (A-D/A1-C6): three core subjects including English Language and Mathematics; and Social Studies/Integrated Science with at least three (3) elective credit passes relevant to the area of specialization/chosen area of study.
    1. NABPTEX/CTVET Candidates:Six credit passes: three core subjects including English Language and Mathematics; and Social Studies/Integrated Science with at least three (3) elective credit passes relevant to the area of specialization/chosen area of study.
    2. Mature Applicants must: be 25 years old (and should attach a Birth Certificate/Baptismal Card) with at least five (5) SSSCE/WASSCE passes or five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level credits including English Language and Mathematics; have a minimum of three (3) years’ work experience; and pass a written Examination to be conducted by the University.
  2. Top-up applicants must be:
  3. Holders of HND, ACCA, ICA, or Diploma relevant to the programme of study.
  4. Holders of Construction Technician Part III or Technician Part II (old scheme).
  5. Holders of certificates equivalent to HND, ACCA, ICA, Construction Technician Part III or II may apply for top-up programmes relevant to their specialization.
  • Prospective Applicants for Higher National Diploma (HND)
    • SSSCE/WASSCE/GBCE Candidates:Six passes (A-D/A1-D7): three core subjects including English Language and Mathematics; and Social Studies/Integrated Science with at least three (3) elective credit passes (A-D/A1-C6) relevant to the area of specialization/study.
    • NABPTEX/CTVET Candidates: Six passes – three core subjects including English Language and Mathematics; and Social Studies/Integrated Science with at least three (3) elective passes relevant to the area of specialization/chosen area of study.
    • Technical/Vocational/Business/Commercial Certificates:ApplicantswithDiploma in Business Studies (DBS), Diploma in Computerized Accounting (DCA), Diploma in Banking Technology & Accounting (DBTA), and Diploma in Business Administration (DBA) are qualified for entry into related HND programmes.
    • RSA II/III, MET I/II, MVT I/II, EET I/II, GCC/CTC I/II or CTC I & II, OTDF Certificate, Advanced B/C Craft Certificate, Institutional Management or City & Guilds Part I & II (812/1, 812/2) or Stenographer Certificate plus four SSSCE/WASSCE credits including English Language and Mathematics.
    • Four-Year Cert. ‘A’ or Post-Sec. Teachers’ Certificate holders may apply.
