Mission of MITDS
To promote gender and generational sensitive, practically oriented, community-based, holistic problem solving education and training through endogenous development based teaching, learning, and research and out-reach for the equitable and sustainable development of a people based on cultural transformation of deprived communities towards generating African solutions for African challenges.
Philosophy of MITDS
Holistic learning that is student-centred, community focus, incorporation of local experts in an open teaching and learning situation that is underscored by an endogenous development perspective (a development that is based on a peoples’ culture, worldviews, and cosmovisions that incorporates relevant portions of other knowledges to enhance itself).
